J Myster turned 1 on Sunday March 7th! I simply can’t believe a year has gone by since I gave birth to him. I’ve learned a lot as a mom. Patience Patience Patience…and be prepared to go a year or so without sleep. I think I’ve done a good job at documenting things in J’s life that I can show him when he is older. I probably take 20 pictures of him a week and every milestone I’ve put on his blog. Speaking of documenting things, I have been working for roughly 4 months on a compilation of pictures and videos I have taken of him set to some of my favorite songs! Thank you Adobe Premiere Pro! I basically compiled all the pictures and videos into 25 minutes! I only used 50 percent of the videos I took and about 80 percent of the pictures. I also did the same thing with my pregnancy which was easy to do since I kept a weekly pregnancy blog.
So when we had J’s birthday party everyone got to see these video documentaries. I WISH I could up load them to YouTube but they don’t allow music in their videos anymore. Anyway, I am pretty proud of the work I did on them, all done during nap times with the boys, late at night or on weekends.
I am also happy that I kept up with J’s weekly blog updates. Even though I haven’t started a scrapbook of J Myster yet, his blog updates will help me make one for him later on when I can afford to buy the scrapbooking stuff.
So about J’s party: This kid has more toys than anyone can imagine! He has his own toy corner in the house and by the end of the day the house is a disaster with toys strewn everywhere, and of course he got more toys yesterday!
It was fun sitting him in front of his very own cake and letting him make a mess of himself. He was fond of this one particular spot of the cake where he would run his finger thru the frosting and suck on it. I wanted him to squish his hands in it, but it never got that far because he was screaming for a bottle after his sugar coma.
I tried showing J how to blow out his candles and instead of blowing he goes pllluuuuph which got me and everyone rolling!
Blowing out the birthday candles after he went plluuuugh on his personal cake. Got everyone laughing!
When I thought about the consequences of him digging into his cake before present time, nothing tops the green hair in all the pictures we took of him opening gifts. It was classic. As is this video:
This is a toy daddy gave him early:
He got tons of clothes from aunt Shannon, Sheena and Grandma.
It was a good day but poor J didn’t make it to his bedtime before he was down for the night, he was so tired from all the excitement.
Happy 1st Birthday Little Monkey!
