Toddlers are the best Comedians!

CrystalCove

I am a caregiver to three toddlers, one being my own and they pick up on the craziest stuff. They are so funny and so sweet at the same time. However there is a little bit of mischief in the best of toddlers. You can see the deviance in their eyes.

Lately I’ve been feeding C in the kitchen with the Gate up because no matter how much I feed JR (using his initials instead of his name), and always feeding him before the other two, he is tall enough to pick the food off the other babies’ high chairs and he eats a good portion of their food. So I now have to keep them separated.

Anyway, I have the gate up feeding C, and the boys decide to throw their toys over the gate. One lands on my foot and I yelp like a dog and this immediately makes the boys smile and J laugh. So the fun game after the gate goes down is to throw toys at mommy’s feet to get the same reaction. I had to immediately remedy this with a stern NO. So since that wasn’t good enough JR decides to throw toys at the other two babies heads resulting in crying all around after I sternly said No to him.

After I calm all the babies down with hugs and kisses and tickling things are normal again. I smell poo and check JR’s diaper and right after I check it, J comes over and pulls back JR’s diaper and peeks inside. So now he does this whenever JR is still enough.

J my little giver, who delights in giving his food and bottles to the other babies takes any opportunity he can when a baby is laying down on the floor to take care of them the way I would. He grabs a bottle any bottle laying on the floor and starts shoving it down JR’s mouth despite JR’s refusal of the bottle. He’s also laid blankets on the other two babies when they are on the floor and given him his teddy that he sleeps with at night and tries cuddling with them by laying his head on them. This most of the time results in the other baby slapping J repeatedly until he gets up. But nonetheless its sweet.
