Hunky Hubs and I decided to do what few people who live about 200 miles south of us would ever think of doing, we left our climate of 80 something degrees, and ventured into 118 degree weather. We decided to pack our bags and head out-of-town, but instead of heading out of the heat, we headed into it. Frankly because San Diego and any kind of beach trip would have been too expensive, but I swear, I will get my ass to the beach next summer. Hopefully by next summer we will be in a better financial situation to be able to afford vacations again.
We spent most of the time in the valley in our hotel room watching the Casey Anthony trial and hanging out by the pool. We got back last night, watched Flagstaff Fireworks. I learned that “fire safe” fireworks are just fireworks that go maybe 50 to 100 feet off the ground. It wasn’t bad, but we’ve had a little bit of monsoon weather here, so we were sitting in our chairs in a rocky parking lot, it was windy and getting cold. I was happy to see them, because it had been years that I had seen fireworks due to all the restrictions we have in the high country. At the end J closed his little eyes, and I carried him back to the car. I think he enjoyed them, but he didn’t get as excited about them as I thought he would. I guess I’m the only piro in the family. 😉
Hope everyone had a great fourth of July!
