Awhile back I was given this Veho Muvi X-Lapse Camera Mount to review. I was excited about it because I wanted to try my hand at some time-lapse photography.
Unfortunately I seemed to have misplaced my tripod. I tore the house up looking for it and I sure hope we didn’t end up accidentally selling it at our last garage sale. I have not given up the search for it though. So since I misplaced it, I couldn’t really do the kind of review I wanted to do with it, but I can still show you exactly what this camera mount does. This mount goes right on your tripod, then you attach your camera to this mount. The timer on this mount then rotates the camera. You can set it for 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. In 60 minutes it will have completed 360 degrees.
So what I did, to show off this product is set the mount that had my Kodak M1063 attached to it, on a bucket and let the camera mount do its thing.
Also another great thing about this camera mount is that it has an attachment on it to use with your smart phone. It doesn’t matter what kind of smart phone as long as the device is thin enough to fit inside the grip that screws into the camera mount base, featured below (bottom left).
There is however one complaint I have, that can be improved in newer models. I’d love to be able to change the speed of the rotation. For example I’d love to be able to do 360 degrees of rotation in 15 minutes, instead of it taking one hour.
The Veho Muvi X-Lapse Camera Mount receives a 4 out of 5 star rating here on “Mommy Only Has 2 Hands” and I think it’s a great accessory to include in any aspiring photographer’s camera bag. Also check out this list of Samsung Galaxy S4 Novelty and Fun.
