As a child I always thought the kids with braces and glasses were cool. I really really wanted jewelry for my teeth! 😉 I’m sure most kids when they found out they had to get glasses, probably shuttered and thought why is this happening to me. As for me, I wanted them!
The smart kids had glasses and I wanted to appear smart and sophisticated. I even concocted a plan to get my mother to think I needed glasses. I know I know!! So conniving right!?
But it worked and I soon was wearing glasses. However in my 9 or 10-year-old mind I didn’t understand that if you lied to get glasses, then were forced to wear “said glasses” when you didn’t have vision problems, that you could cause damage to your eyes. Sure enough a week after getting my glasses in, the headaches started and I had to confess my crime to my mother. 🙁 Oh the humiliation of having to tell her I lied! That was a hard one for me because I knew my mother had spent some money and time to get them for me. It was a hard lesson to learn, and I did feel really bad about it, but I didn’t quite understand the ramifications at that age.
Today wearing glasses is a fashion statement! I knew I was on to something back when I was nine! Ha!
Firmoo has made wearing glasses a fashion statement.
They let me choose out a lovely pair of glasses to review right here on MOHTH and I’m so excited about them. First of all, if you are unsure if glasses suite your face at all, you can upload a picture of yourself on the Firmoo website and virtually try on dozens of different frames. For myself I chose some frameless glasses. I think the frameless glasses still help my hazel eyes to pop, but also includes that look of sophistication I’ve always longed for.
What do you think?
Trying to channel an inner sophisticated side that portrays she likes to read a lot! 😉
Sexy Librarian? 😉
Ok maybe not!
Regardless of whether you need prescription eye-wear or just want to wear them for fun, Firmoo has glasses for both men and women of all different styles. When I logged onto Firmoo I had fun choosing frames and although I did not upload my own picture to help choose the right ones, I made a pretty good guess at what would look good on me compared to the sunglasses shape I always tend to buy along with their face shapes you can test frames out on. This helped me to make a good choice for my face shape.
I also learned about computer glasses that can help reduce glare on computer screens. The glasses I ordered were made with anti-radiation & UV coatings, basically they can be used for simple computer use, which helps reduce screen glare. This is good to know and I will use these now for when I’m at the computer!
Firmoo understands the hesitation of purchasing a pair of glasses online, so they have an offer out for my readers to get your first pair free. On that same page is also a link to get 50% off your first order. Please take advantage of that if you are in need of a new pair of glasses, or want to rock some fashionable lenses!
Like with all my product reviews, I was not paid to facilitate this review but I was compensated with a free pair of glasses and asked to write about my experience with the Firmoo site. All opinions are 100% mine.
