I found Sam about 12 years ago, or maybe it was that he found me. I was cleaning snow off my car, looked down to see a very friendly kitten mewing at my feet. He let me pick him up and I brought him inside and warmed him up. It had snowed that night and I was certain he spent the night in a not so warm place.  After posting flyers all around our complex with no calls, we decided to keep Sam, after all he had kind of made himself a home in our apartment and in our hearts. I’ll never forget when he just crawled right into my lap and started purring. He had found a home.

Fast forward 11 years, a move, and two kids later, we had decided that Sam needed a friend.  So we brought Bell home as a kitten, just a bit younger than when we found Sam. The kids loved her immediately and she loved the kids. The first night we let her out of her cage after the adjustment period with Sam, I found her nuzzled up in bed with my two-year old on a cold winter night. I knew then, she was the perfect addition to our family.

November 2014 110

Don’t you think so?

There have been so many beautiful moments I’ve captured with our two crazy cats and our two children over the last year, especially with Bell and her silly antics.

Bell Collage

It’s almost Bell’s birthday! She has been with us for almost a year. We rescued her last November!  I can’t believe we’ve had her that long, it seems like we’ve blinked and she’s grown from an adorable little kitten to an expert grasshopper hunter. She loves to bring those things in the house!

As with everyone in the family, you want to make sure your pets are well taken care of and fed. With Purina Muse® Natural Cat Food, you don’t have to choose between natural nutrition and food that tastes great. Your cat can have both when you choose Muse. When my cats hear the pop of the lid on the can, they come running from all directions. They KNOW THAT SOUND WELL! But this time I used the Purina Muse® Natural Cat Food bowls. You just pull off the lid and the cats can eat right out of it.

Bell licked her bowl clean, then went over and finished Sam’s bowl, who didn’t leave much at all…but when its good, they can’t leave any residue or hint that food was ever in the bowl! EVER!

And since Bell is still a growing cat, but very playful she usually finishes up Sam’s meal too!

After seeing my cats scarf these down I am certain that Purina Muse® Natural Cat Food is their all time favorite! My older cat Sam, tends to prefer poultry based meals, while my younger cat Bell tends to like fishes. You can choose from mackerel to tilapia and ocean white fish. You can also buy them in bowls ready to eat. This is great for days when I forget to wash the cats’ bowls out, but you can still buy them in the typical aluminum can. Purina Muse® Natural Cat Food has so many varieties and flavors. You can buy them in a chowder, broth, in pate form, with toppers, or with gravy in flavors from chicken and herring to sea bass  and mackerel. You’ll even find veggies in them from spinach to tomato and carrots. I like knowing that my cats are getting proportionate meals.  With about 30 different flavor combinations to choose from, your cat will never get bored with what’s on his plate.  All of the varieties are made with real fish or poultry, no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, and is 100% complete and balanced for adult cats! Of the 30 different varieties 24 of Purina Muse® Natural Cat Food is grain-free.

So where can you get Purina Muse® Natural Cat Food? It’s exclusively available at Petsmart on aisle 19!

  1. They are such pretty things. We can’t have cats due to allergies but if we did, I would feed them this. I love that there are finally so many natural pet foods that we can feel good about feeding them.

    1. How old are George and Smokey? Do they get along pretty well? Did you get them together or one later? Justs curious how other cat parents have handled transition periods between pets.

  2. Love the story of how you found Sam! I used to live in Minnesota so I can imagine what it is like for a young cat to be out in the cold all night. We had cats for a brief time when I was in 5th grade. I’m allergic so I don’t have them now but miss those random cuddles and purrrs!

  3. We have a similar story with our cats, Meep and Hazel. We rescued them at the age of 4 weeks after they were abandoned in the winter. We had to feed them with an eye dropper! Now they eat Purina Muse too!

  4. Our cat is such a part of the family!! I have not seen this cat food before, looks like one that our cat would enjoy. I love the photo of your son sleeping with the cat absolutely adorable.

  5. We don’t have a cat, but our dog cuddles up with our son like that. It’s so adorable! What a great photo you have of them. This sounds like a great cat food — I look for the same characteristics when I buy our dog food – natural, grain free. etc.

  6. Great that you got a companion for your first cat. I too am a cat owner and feed her both wet and dry food. They can be so finicky. Glad that you found a product that both of your cats like.

  7. What an adorable kitty! My mom took my cat when I married my very allergic husband – she’s always been a picky eater so I’ll pass the coupon on to my mom to try!

  8. I don’t have cats but I have heard great things about Purina! Your cat is so cute! Thanks for sharing this new product with us!

  9. We don’t have a cat, but our dog cuddles up with our son like that. It’s so adorable! What a great photo you have of them. This sounds like a great cat food — I look for the same characteristics when I buy our dog food – natural, grain free. et

  10. I just love that black and white photo!! Just beautiful~ both the kitties and the relationship between them and your son! I wish we could have cats, sadly my daughter has allergies 🙁 I am praying she outgrows it!

  11. My boyfriend used Purina before for their cats and they had no qualms about it 😀 It’s really a great brand. If we were to own cats now we’d definitely use the same brand,

  12. I think it’s awesome that you guys rescue kitties! Good job on taking good care of them too. They look so healthy and happy.

  13. I totally love your story of Sam and Bell! So adorable!!! I too am a Purina Cat Muse fan! I have two beautiful cats and my family can only give them the best food out there…it’s the least we could do for all the love and affection they have given us!

What do you think?
