2 Weeks Post Move Status

Adults BrentwoodHome Pillow

It’s been almost two weeks since we moved. We are getting settled in and used to new routines. Most of all, we are in the fun stage of moving. With the help of hunky hubs, we’ve been able to finally hang pictures. We’ve got most boxes unpacked. The first three days we were here, I spent a ton of time de-greasing the kitchen. Oh man, the whole thing seemed to be under a layer of grease, including the fridge. The fridge was the first thing that had to be cleaned from top to bottom. Since the kitchen is where people go to congregate and take breaks in between unpacking and moving furniture, I knew it was the first place I had to get in order. It was the first area that was done before any other room in this house. In fact, I saved the office, “my workspace” for the very last and other than pictures that need to be mounted and a new sleeper sofa for visiting guests, it’s done. Things are in order in here and I’m so happy about it because it means I can officially return to some work I’ve turned down since this whole moving journey began almost a year ago. I can finally get back to the fun of blogging and making money while blogging. I’ve turned down a lot of opportunities because life was just too hectic, and now I’m excited to settle down and get back at the thing I love doing.

What’s on the horizon for blogging?

I have had a lot of questions via email lately about the house. So I think I will feature each room of my home in a blog post or video. Maybe I’ll give you guys all the grand tour via video. What do you think? I’ve also been asked, what my favorite room is so far. Well honestly, they all are, but one area I haven’t been able to use yet is my spa tub. It needs to be cleaned and each day there are still things to get in order before I have an evening of relaxation. Although I am taking a break this evening and going out to dinner with a good friend tonight.  Seriously though, each room of this home has something to love about it. Overall I love the big windows with the beautiful pine trees you can see from any place you look outside in this home. I feel like we live in a forest. It’s all kinds of amazing and I will show you all soon!

  1. We just moved a couple of months to a new place too and I am not still finished unpacking boxes. We need to buy drawers and cabinets for installation. Excited for the video of the house! 🙂

  2. So glad that everything going well and that you’re slowly getting every part of the house organized. I’d love to see the house, I’m sure it’s as lovely as you described it!

  3. I love your couch! The color & how big it is! You must have a big living room. I see you have a nice big fenced in yard & your boys have 5 girls next door to like! WOW – enjoy!!

  4. Moving probably is one of the most difficult to overcome. Great thing you are doing nice after a few weeks.

  5. Congrats on your new place and starting to settle down! We are in the very early stages of moving and it’s overwhelming. I have no idea how I’m going to keep up on blogging!

  6. Moving is fun but you have to adjust. Everything needs adjustment. Good thing your boys looks like they love your new house.

  7. I just moved, too.I seriously edited my closet and gave all the things that I have had on hangers for 7 years to Salvation Army.It felt good to rid myself of that dead weight.

  8. Congrats to your moving, moving was so fun but when we moved to our new house everything was new and we need to adjust.

  9. I remember when we first moved into our house last year. It took us a while to get used to the change but once we realized that this was our house (our first home), we felt so blessed. Looking forward to a house tour hehehe

  10. We haven’t moved for over a dozen years, and I dread the thought of it! We’ve all been there and know what a challenge it can be1
