5 Fall Beauty Tips You Can’t Ignore

 

Summer is almost over, and while you spent most of the winter and spring getting yourself ready for summer doesn’t mean that your quest for beauty is over. Instead, now you need to start preparing for the fall and winter months that will be here before you know it. Take a look at the following XX fall beauty tips to use so that you’re ready for the colder weather.

1. Skin Care
Just because you may not be donning a swim suit for the next few months doesn’t mean you need to put your skin in the back of your mind. Now is the best time to opt for skin care treatments, such as laser skincare. Think of things like Botox, fat removal, or any other skin fixes you want to make. Many doctors run specials on these due to their popularity, and they’re typically an outpatient treatment, so you don’t need to worry about long hospital stays or long recovery time either. If you want to have killer skin and a body that you’re proud of, even if you’re not wearing a bathing suit, use this time to receive the skin care treatments you deserve.

2. Hair
During the summer, you may have gone fun and flirty with a hairstyle that complemented the beach and outdoor activities. Now that the summer is ending, you may want to dial it back to something a little more modest or different with a fall hair color. If you’re tired of the bleach blonde locks, take this time to make a change. Reds and browns are a great look for fall, as the complement the colors of the changing leaves. You can also try something different, such as an ombre that allows you to have more fun colors in your hair at one time. If that’s not your style, try for some fun low-lights that will give your hair some contrast.

3. Makeup
During the summer, you don’t want to pile a bunch of makeup on your face. You also want to keep things looking a little more natural, too. During the fall, you can start to get away with the darker, more obvious colors. Now is the time to head to the store and find the best shade of eye shadow and lipstick that is perfect for your fall and winter wardrobe. Take some time to try out a new color you haven’t used before, or go back to your standard. No matter what you may want, there is something out there you can try.

4. Clothes
By now, you know that styles and fashion are always changing by the season. Take some time to put away your summer clothes and break out your winter clothes. Go through them and see what you want to keep and what you want to part with. Then, be sure that you head out to the store and pick up some fun new fall items, such as colorful boots or oversized sweaters. And if there’s something else out there that you want to try, go for it. Now is not the time to hold back on fashion that you find exciting.

5. Body
It seems that the bigger our clothes get for the season, the less likely we are to workout. Don’t do that. Think of all the hard work you put into getting that summer body. Don’t let it go to waste now that fall is here. Instead, make it a point to continue working out and keep that figure so you don’t have to work as hard next spring. Find some fun classes to take to keep you in shape, or pick up some hobbies that will allow you to work hard on a regular basis. When you continue to put the effort in, you’ll have a better time staying healthy year round.

Fall shouldn’t be thought of as the end to summer, but as the beginning of a new fashion and style adventure. Use these tips so that you can make the best transition from your summer look and wardrobe to something that will look great but also keep you warm.

  1. You are right about gaining weight in the winter for me! I can’t exercise regularly let alone in the winter. I am not going to do any shots or laser etc. to my face. I’m just going to let nature take its course. Hopefully I’ll grow old gracefully!

  2. I can’t wait till fall. It is easier to take dog walking any time in day, not in dark for cooler weather it’s not safe, and it’s not too hot or cold in the fall. And the dry skin/hair is not as bad.

  3. There are so many colors that I want to dye my hair in, dark red is on the top of my list. For now, I’m so frugal I’ll stick to my blondish brunette color.

  4. I like your column on updating your look for fall. I know that I always have to increase my use of moisturizer for my skin. It will be fun to select cosmetics that will coordinate with my autumn wardrobe.

  5. I don’t normally have to change my skincare routine between seasons as I have oily skin no matter what time of year it is. But I love fall fashion – sweater and leather weather!
