Gift Guide for The Technology Lover

This week’s gift guide post includes things that a lot of “gadgeteers“, (yeah that’s a new word I created) will have their eyes on over the holidays. At the top of my list and one that works with both Android and Apple smartphones, is the Pepple Watch. Now I have the Pebble Original and I really do love it and its a great watch, but that tech girl in me really really wants it in color and I’d love to have it in white as featured below.

 pebble Time Smartwatch White

So when Christmas rolls around a lot of us get into the latest technology and gadgets that are on the market. I know I do and I tend to want the latest thing. I don’t have this watch yet. I have the original pebble, but I’d love to have the pebble watch offered with a color screen. I’ve already dropped hints to my husband.

Here are some of its features:
*Always on, color e-paper display with led backlight
*Battery life up to 7 days
*Water resistant to 30 meters
*Built-In microphone for voice notes and quick replies
*Choose from thousands of custom watchfaces in the Pebble appstore, with more added every day. Please note: *Sending voice replies works with most major Android apps including SMS, Hangouts, Gmail, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and hundreds more. Voice features for iPhone users will be available in a future software update.

Motorola Moto 360 – Black Leather Smart Watch

My husband has the Moto 360 watch and he loves it because he can practically design the kind of watch face he wants for it. He has designed an LA Kings watch face for it using a third-party app. Whats great about the Moto 360 is you can talk to it and ask the watch questions like you can to Siri.

Here are some of its features:
*Quality craftsmanship – Finely crafted with stainless steel, genuine Horween leather and scratch-resistant glass.
*Timely updates at a glance – Get both the time, and what that moment means to you
*Responds to your Voice – Just speak to get the info you need
*Tracks Health and Fitness – Moto Body tracks your steps, distance and calories burned along with your heart rate
*Works with your AndroidTM phone – Pair with any smart phone running Android 4.3 or higher. Unfortunately it’s not compatible with Apple smartphones.

CoverBot iPad Mini 3, iPad Mini Retina Display and iPad Mini Ultra Bluetooth Keyboard

I love this case! I have an iPad Mini and I like being able to turn my iPad into a little mini laptop when I want to type out my grocery list and have it sync to my phone or heck even write up a blog post or email. The Coverbot iPad Mini 3 case slips nicely in my purse, I love how portable it is! The case easily detaches from the bluetooth keyboard, its thin and simply the best $40 bucks I ever spent on an accessory to a device. Also the bluetooth keyboard lasts forever between charges! I probably go about three months without needing to charge it, but I’m not using it all the time. I primarily use it as a tablet, but there have been occasions, when I’m sitting in a coffee shop and two thumbing a response via email just doesn’t cut it, so I open up the keyboard and quickly type up what I need to.

Here are some of its features:
*Ultra thin cover protects your iPad mini screen when you’re not using it Easily detachable case connected by strong magnets Built-in bluetooth keyboard makes it easy to type with precision and shortcut keys provide quick access to special functions
*Smart Cover magnetic attach feature – Attach your iPad mini to keyboard instantly View more content without the onscreen keyboard getting in the way Doubles as a viewing stand, use your iPad mini without having to hold it
Mount iPad mini in both portrait or landscape mode Built in magnets hold your iPad mini in place Sleep/Wake function
*Durable plastic keys for faster response Built-in rechargeable lithium battery Charges via mini USB cable(included)
For iPad mini Keyboard case only, iPad not included

 Fire, 7″ Display, Wi-Fi, 8 GB, Black

Now I don’t have a Kindle Fire, but I’ve seen these and these are great tablets for kids. They don’t cost too much and you can download educational games for the tablet and my mother in law loves how light weight it is.

Here are some of its features:
*This item will be released on September 30, 2015, but you can Pre-order now.
*Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. (Gift-wrap available.)

  1. I have yet to try these watches but I want to learn more about the whole super watch thing. And I am going to definitely look into this ipad case. Love that!

    1. I like the Pebble Watch because its IOS friendly, where the Moto Watch only works with Andriod, while I like that watch better, I’m an Apple Girl and right now the Pebble is the other other smart watch that works with Apple unless you want to buy a $500 watch! LOL

  2. I need that Ipad mini cover for me! I have been looking at the minis and should be getting it soon. Will have to add in that keyboard case.

  3. This list is perfect for the boys in my family and with the holidays coming these selections are perfect. Thank you for your suggestions.

What do you think?
