A Saturday in June

Last night I laid in bed listening to the downpour of rain. It seemed to be coming down so hard that it was like someone was pouring a giant bucket from the sky. Mixed with thunder and a little upset three-year old who made his way into our bed, I lied there listening to the rain….regretting that I didn’t put the hammock up or bring the patio furniture seat cushions inside.

This morning though, the downpour had no effect on the chirping birds or the life that seemed to spring up over night…we went out to explore…even Bell got out there chasing grasshoppers and attempting to climb trees.

Bell, the kitten we got in November…not so much a kitten anymore, enjoying some back yard time.

Being an odd month for rain, I’m happy with a greener, more alive back yard.

  1. You have a lovely green yard, my yard is nothing but dirt and sticker bushes. The rain sounded lovely and I have always loved the way everything looks after a nice rain storm.

    1. Oh yeah, I’ve heard about the major drought issues going on there. I wonder what California is going to do in the coming years. Seems like they need a plan like now.

  2. We had a very wet season for once. It kept the temperatures down and replenished our lakes. Your yard looks lovely.

    Your cat is beautiful too.

  3. Such a beautiful Yard. These are wonderful pictures, particularly the flowers looks very natural & amazing. Your kid looks so excited & the Pet Bell looks cute & energetic.

  4. It can be so calming listening to the rain. It also clears the air. These are great pictures you shared. Thank you so much

  5. Life is wonderful. I love sleeping or resting during a thunderstorm. To me it is so relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing
