This post is about a week late. Last week my son started preschool and I haven’t had the chance to share his first day pictures til now. My oldest son never attended preschool, so this preschool thing is a bit new for me. My oldest son is now in second grade and doing very well. Loves all his subjects, excels in reading and loves math. He loves to learn. Braidy on the other hand needs more than I alone can’t give him. So we decided on preschool. And he loves it for the most part. It makes him feel big, like his big brother who goes to school and I do believe it will prepare him come next year when he starts kindergarten.
Although I’m not getting much from what he’s doing day-to-day when I pick him up, I do think its good for him to be apart from me for those hours and take direction from someone other than me. Its funny though, when I pick him up from school and ask him what he did today, he says, “I can’t remember”. JJ would have talked about his day all the way home with lots of excitement. Like I said…two different kids and its important to recognize what each child needs even if its different from how you did it with another child.
Another milestone down and another pull on this mom’s heartstrings. My babies are growing up.
