Braidy Started Preschool!

This post is about a week late. Last week my son started preschool and I haven’t had the chance to share his first day pictures til now. My oldest son never attended preschool, so this preschool thing is a bit new for me. My oldest son is now in second grade and doing very well. Loves all his subjects, excels in reading and loves math. He loves to learn. Braidy on the other hand needs more than I alone can’t give him. So we decided on preschool. And he loves it for the most part. It makes him feel big, like his big brother who goes to school and I do believe it will prepare him come next year when he starts kindergarten.

Although I’m not getting much from what he’s doing day-to-day when I pick him up, I do think its good for him to be apart from me for those hours and take direction from someone other than me. Its funny though, when I pick him up from school and ask him what he did today, he says, “I can’t remember”.  JJ would have talked about his day all the way home with lots of excitement. Like I said…two different kids and its important to recognize what each child needs even if its different from how you did it with another child.

Another milestone down and another pull on this mom’s heartstrings. My babies are growing up.

  1. Congratulations! I learned so many things in preschool. My mom and my preschool teacher ended up being great friends, and our families attending the same church until we moved.

  2. Congratulations! Be careful! They grow up so fast! I remember when my girls were in preschool, and now they are 18 and 20 years old! Seems like only yesterday…

  3. Maybe Braidy said “I can’t remember” because he was too tired to talk. I still can’t get over the name Braidy, such a unique spelling.

  4. This is amazing and it’s definitely good for him, he’ll develop a lot of skills especially working with others and being kind as well. I think preschool helps a lot in preparing them for the big school.

  5. I barely remember the day my oldest son started preschool. Preschool is so wonderful for children, they learn many valuable lessons! I hope he has a great year.

  6. Aw how fun! I remember when my oldest started – we don’t have preschool here but they start kindergarten at age 4. Feels like it was yesterday and he’s 13 now!

What do you think?
