City Air Pollution Has Gone CO2-Too Far

Unlike the other animals on Earth, humans seem to have a habit of living amongst the mess they create. With major cities being home to the largest concentration of both people and industry the world has to offer, people spend a lot of time around places which would usually be considered very dirty. In recent years, this has led to studies of the air pollution found where humans are in the greatest numbers, and this post is going to be exploring what has been found.

To begin, it’s a good idea to put the risks of this sort of issue into perspective. A lot of people don’t understand the damage which air pollution can cause. For a child, being exposed to high levels of the wrong gasses from an early age can increase their chances of developing lung problems in later life. It could also make it hard for them to play outside while they are still young. For an adult, the risks are slightly less worrying, but air pollution has been linked to cases of dementia in recent years, which is worth keeping in mind.

With so many places around the world struggling with air pollution, it would make sense if countries were working hard to solve this issue. In reality, though, there isn’t one place doing enough to get around the problem of pollution. Most of the best efforts are being privately handled by businesses and affluent people. To help with this, you have a surprising amount of power, though it may take some work. You local politicians are beholden to you and those who live in your area. If enough people express strong concerns about the quality of the air, they will have little choice and will have to start doing something about it. Getting a group together to plant some trees in an approved space can also be a great way to clean the air.

Until the world starts making some real changes, a lot of people simply don’t have any choice; they have to live in polluted areas. If you fall into this category, you will have to do some work to make sure that your home has clean air. Thankfully, air purification systems are very cheap, nowadays, and can provide you with clean air whenever you are at home. In the outside world, though, you may need the help of Oxygen Plus oxygen delivery services to get your hands on something to help you breathe. A lot of people are using tools like this, and they have proven to make it easier to live with bad quality air.

As time goes on, this sort of issue is set to get worse before it gets better, and this means that people are going to have to work hard to keep those they love fit and healthy. Of course, if you live somewhere in the countryside, you won’t have to worry about this, and will most likely have some of the best air in the world.

  1. It is just terrible. I know that I was in LA a few years back and I remember hearing about the horrible air quality before I went – and it was all that and worse.

  2. I’m glad I live in a place where the air quality is great but I am concerned about pollution. I agree that it’s going to take everyone working together to reduce air pollution.

  3. So happy we live way out in the country where the air is wonderful. We have been places where you can see the air pollution. Cities need to plant more trees and curb their pollution.

  4. I’m truly thankful that I live where the air quality is pretty great. However, more needs to be done for cities.

  5. Yes! We literally need oxygen to live. I don’t know why people don’t take the environment more seriously. Persons with health problems rely on supplemental oxygen too and Oxygen Plus Oxygen delivery services looks like a great company too! I’ll look into them for my relative!

  6. I live in a high quality air area. I cannot imagine what those folks go through where it’s not. It’s everyone’s problem, not just the city, though. Those gases go airborne and we all suffer.

  7. I agree it is getting worse outside and it makes it harder on me letting my child go outside and play. As well as for me trying to breath as things in the Air bothers me.

  8. Yup, it’s a shame that the air has gotten so bad. I really wish we’d take care of our planet better. Otherwise it probably won’t last.

  9. That is one reason I dislike being in a city for too long, it makes me feel dirty and I feel winded due to the air pollution. I hope cities start to clean up their acts!

  10. I grew up in a major city and raised my kids for the better part in a major city. We have moved to a much smaller city and have been enjoying the better air quality.

  11. We humans really do make a huge mess of the planet. It’s so sad. I think we were making huge progress towards becoming more eco-friendly, but lately it seems like the people in charge are doing everything they can to reverse all that progress. We definitely need to be more vocal now and get things back on track again!

  12. Air pollution is the problem of our century. I think that everyone should do something, like small things every day, to solve this problem. And the countries should do a lot all together about it.

  13. It makes me so sad how the current admin is destroying the EPA and the regulations that were protecting our beautiful earth. Pollution is getting worse and the powers that be only care about money.

  14. One reason we’ve been wanting to move is to get to a place with better air quality. It has gotten worse the past 20 years.
