This morning we woke up and attacked daddy with a gift basket full of love singing “Happy Father’s Day To You….”. It was quite cheesy, but we are a cheesy family.
In our family we have this tradition that started back when I was pregnant with JJ. Scott got me just a bunch of things he thought would make life a little easier for me being a new mommy for Mother’s Day, from a nice comfy pair of yoga pants, to new flip flops, to another pair of sunglasses I’ll eventually loose, sit on, or have to replace months later. For my husband, I know the way to his heart is through the snacks he loves. He also loves sports paraphernalia, especially stuff for his LA Kings! (Yay Stanley Cup Champions!!). So instead of doing a gift bag, I thought making a gift basket looked so much better!
So the kids and I found the manliest basket we could find at the dollar store, some “manly” basket filler, 😉 and then we hit target to load his basket up full of the goodies he loves! The kids had a blast helping!
