Hatch Green Chili Salsa!

Hey friends!

How was your fourth of July!? Did you eat good foods and see the fireworks? We did! We actually planned to have some people over, but due to an emergency situation, they couldn’t come…so it was just us enjoying all the good cookin! This year I just wanted to do something a little more creative than the typical hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. I wanted to do kabobs! I skewered everything from fruit to shrimp and bacon and threw it on the grill. We had BBQ meatballs, Hatch green chili salsa with chips and apple pie for dessert. Also one of my new favorite alcoholic drinks includes Coconut Malibu Rum and V8 Tropical splash!  What should we name this drink!?

It should totally have a name! If you can think of a good one leave me a comment below!

Anyway, for this post I thought I’d share the recipe of the hatch green chili salsa I made for the fourth. Now I already have a salsa recipe on here, but this has different ingredients. My blender salsa is spicy. This salsa I’m featuring today is mild, but very addictive! You can’t just have one chip filled bite. I mean if you can, then there’s something wrong with you.

Enjoy! Oh and don’t forget the chips!! 😉

  6. This salsa recipe looks great – and easy enough for me to execute. I will eat salsa with about anything. It is so hard to find a great selection up here in NY though.

    1. I’ve heard! I’ve had friends come back from NY or Tenessee, saying they can’t find good salsa anywhere and honestly I hate store bought salsa, just doesn’t have the right taste, I might try a deli salsa, but a lot seem to put some kind of preservative in them that I can actually taste and its a no go for me.

  7. Mild Salsa–YEAH–my stomach may actually tolerate this one. I am going to try to make it and find out–and I can guarantee-I will not forget the chips!

  8. Oooo this salsa looks absolutely delicious!!! I’m a huge salsa fan so I will definitely have to try this out

  9. This sounds and looks like an awesome salsa indeed and I am going to have to try making it for sure. It would be great for a pool party. The drink mix I would call Tropical Malibu Coconut Splash. Thanks for sharing.

  10. Yum this looks so good! We go through salsa like crazy in our house so maybe I should consider making it instead of buying!

  11. Mmmmm looks delicious! I’ll be making tacos tomorrow night so I’ll have to try this recipe out. I also sometimes make a lime, cilantro yogurt sauce – it’s perfect for those who don’t like spice and delicious for a Mexican themed dinner!
