A couple of weeks ago I got the HP Envy #Intel 2in1. After a couple of weeks of use, I don’t know how I did things without it. I mean it’s helped me get more work done because I’m not tied to my office. I can take it with me places so it helps me to multi-task in so many ways I couldn’t before.
One thing I haven’t been familiar with is all the apps in the google store. I love that these apps are mainly designed for touch screen use. Windows 7 doesn’t have the google store. With windows 7 I needed Adobe Photoshop to edit all my pictures. I was about to ask my husband to install it on the HP Envy, but he said, “Um…there’s no need to, just find the app you want from the google store”. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! I started browsing the google store and found dozens of picture editing apps for free mind you, that does just as much as the very expensive Adobe Photoshop I had for Windows 7. I couldn’t believe it.
Not only did I find some awesome photo editing apps, I found a cool app my six-year-old can use to draw or color with.
Jaydon totally had fun making this for daddy last week, which gives me some awesome ideas for Father’s Day! Thinking about how we can use the picture editing apps, and Jaydon’s artistic abilities, we can make an awesome card on the HP Envy!
I found this cool app called PicsArt that lets you make collages out of your pictures:
It was fun choosing what kind of collage I would make and I think I’m going to print one out similar to this one I created just for fun and frame it and give it to my husband on father’s day. I’m going to be a little more creative than the collage below because there is so much you can do, and this one is a little bland, but you get the picture!
I am still looking for apps that will help me make cards off my computer. If you know of a good one, please let me know!
But for Father’s Day I have so many ideas thanks to Pinterest! For starters, Pinterest is the go to site when you need to fuel your creative juices. Here’s a couple of ideas! (Not mine, just found on pinterest)
Free printables on decorite paper are awesome ideas for father’s day and you can find them all over the internet!
Have a beer enthusiast on your hand? Head on over to Etsy and get them this awesome hoody with the beer holder built right in!
Another idea is to create a decorative mason jar with your dad or husband’s favorite snack food! My husband loves Reeses!
I also saw this awesome pin of someone who made decorated this mason jar for the Kings and Dodgers. My husband loves the Kings, this would such a great idea for him!
How will you use technology to do something nice for that dad in your life?
