If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I am notorious for taking on way too much. Now that we’ve been back from Disneyland, unpacked and back to regular life and Flag football practices are finally over and not consuming up my time 2 nights a week and my Saturdays anymore, I am excited to get back to things I’ve neglected. One is cooking and finding new recipes. When Flag Football starts at 5:30 and goes til 6:30, then when you get home its 7 and bed time is at 8, that just doesn’t work and its usually something fast. During football season we made Thursday nights an official pizza take out night and Tuesdays were mac and cheese nights.
Also now that we are into November, I don’t want to be that person that waits til the last-minute to buy all the Christmas presents and stresses over it. Or the person who’s running out last-minute for missing Thanksgiving ingredients. My toddler also turns 3 this year at the end of November, so I’ve got to think about what we are doing for his birthday.
I’m making a list of everything that need to get done. All the gifts and holiday obligations we need to partake in and we are going to do it and keep the house in order, in the process! I refuse to stress this time of year! It’s a time that needs to be enjoyed and cherished.
How do you plan for the holidays? I make lists. So today starts some list making and scheduling!
