So back when we finished the boys room in August, we were simultaneously working on our upstairs bathroom. I’m just getting around now to sharing our pictures from that project.
When we moved into our house more than a year ago, this is what that bathroom looked like:
You can’t really tell in this picture but the entire house was kinda painted in this puke tan color. In these pictures, they look off-white.
I had a completely different idea for this bathroom, but my husband started working on it before I could tell him my ideas and he painted the walls a rusty burnt brown color, that didn’t really go well with the cabinets seen here.
Its ok though, the guy really doesn’t have a clue when it comes to interior design, but he can make a man cave look awesome!
Anyway, so I needed to fix the color somehow. At our old house we textured the main wall in our living room and I figured I’d do the same here.
You can see I textured the walls with a roller brush that had wire holes in it, and then used a sponge brush over that to texture it even more, and I used a pretty rose color that complimented the original color my husband painted with. I still am not certain the color goes with the cabinets. If I could, I’d take that cabinet, and mirror off and paint it black. (This may be a project for this spring or summer)
