Our Finished Bathroom!

So back when we finished the boys room in August, we were simultaneously working on our upstairs bathroom. I’m just getting around now to sharing our pictures from that project.

When we moved into our house more than a year ago, this is what that bathroom looked like:

These are pictures from when we were doing the walk thru of the house.

You can’t really tell in this picture but the entire house was kinda painted in this puke tan color. In these pictures, they look off-white.

I had a completely different idea for this bathroom, but my husband started working on it before I could tell him my ideas and he painted the walls a rusty burnt brown color, that didn’t really go well with the cabinets seen here.

Its ok though, the guy really doesn’t have a clue when it comes to interior design, but he can make a man cave look awesome!

Anyway, so I needed to fix the color somehow. At our old house we textured the main wall in our living room and I figured I’d do the same here.

You can see I textured the walls with a roller brush that had wire holes in it, and then used a sponge brush over that to texture it even more, and I used a pretty rose color that complimented the original color my husband painted with. I still am not certain the color goes with the cabinets. If I could, I’d take that cabinet, and mirror off and paint it black. (This may be a project for this spring or summer)

You can see I have a black, white and grey theme going on here with the decor.
All the pictures we hung on the wall were black and white pictures I hung in .99 cent frames. I printed the pictures for .08 cents a picture thru snapfish! Pretty awesome deal, if you ask me! We also added some towel holders to each side of the mirror.
Between our bathroom closet and entrance.
After we were done painting, my husband had the daunting task of adding the crown molding. It was quite a project since our bathroom isn’t exactly square. There was a lot to measure. But now it looks beautiful! What do you think?
What DIY projects have you taken on lately, or just finished? You can link them in the comments. I’d love to see them!
