Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownie Topping!

So I make these to die for brownies and I thought I’d share my little secret right here on Heartfully Heather with you fabulous readers. When it comes to baking, I have no time or patience to do things outside the box. When it comes to cooking a meal for my family, I am all over cooking outside the box and prefer to do so.

Here’s an easy way to make to die for brownies using your favorite boxed brownie mix, or your own brownie recipe.

See its all about the topping, and I will tell you it’s just an easy step at the end once your brownies have cooled in the fridge for about a half hour.

Wait, what is that above, chocolate and peanut butter? WHA?!

Yep But wait…there’s one more ingredient.

Rice Krispies!

Yeah the snap crackle pop kind!
You know the kind!

First microwave the combined chocolate and peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl in 30-second increments until its nice and creamy.
The bag of melting chocolates can be found in your grocer’s cake baking aisle, usually right next to the stuff to make cake pops.

Use about a half a cup of each for a 9×9 square pan.

Once it’s a creamy consistency, poor in the Rice Krispies!

It should look like this!

Mix it all up, and spoon over your “cooled” brownies. You want the brownies to be cooled or it could rip off the top layer of the brownies. After you’ve completely covered the brownies put in the fridge to harden and you will have delightful brownies the whole family will love, and no one will care that you made boxed brownies because this topping is just that great!

  1. I make candy balls with those ingredients. I never thought to use it for topping cake or brownies. Great idea.

  2. Your Peanut Butter Brownie Topping is so cool! I love the addition of the Rice Krispies. It makes for a fun surprise. Everyone will love the fun contrast of the moistness of the brownies with the crunch of the topping.
