Thanksgiving is next week? Can anyone believe that? I feel like I have so much to do, even though I’m not going to be the one in the kitchen doing the cooking this year. Nope, I’m taking it easy being two weeks away from my due date, and we’ve turned our little Thanksgiving celebration into a potluck celebration this year. Am I nesting hmm… Does nesting also mean needing more and more sleep? Is it true that when you get to the end of your pregnancy you just can’t get enough sleep? That is me. Just let me hibernate til the baby is here, but then I look around and see all the projects I want to get done before baby comes and that snaps me out of it a little bit.
I know some people are wanting a little update on my work at home job I’m doing and I’m waiting just a little bit longer before I go into a lot of detail about it. I want to give an accurate presentation of the company, the work I do and if it is something I feel a mom with a toddler and a newborn can do. Right now I’m a bit overwhelmed with it but I’m going to take pregnancy, (pregnancy brain) and endless fatigue and factor that into it for a bit.
In other news, I am in the process of narrowing down our maternity photo pictures we had taken a few weeks ago from 676 shots to 30! Woza! I can’t wait to share them with you here on my blog.
Other than that I am content with letting the days tick by, doing some light baking and cleaning each day and just letting my body get ready for this baby. Let’s hope I make it till after Thanksgiving next Thursday, then the baby can come any time after that. My body feels so broken sometimes. I wake up in so much pain just due to all the “uncomfortableness” of carrying 20 plus pounds in your abdomen. One area to carry all that weight, is that like a cruel joke God? Braxton Hicks are getting closer and closer together, I feel like I have a permanent waddle, I can’t pick anything up off the floor anymore without pain and great effort, my indigestion has turned into full on nasty verps. My stretch marks are even more stretch marks and I consider myself fully baked. Like seriously get this baby out now baked, the oven is done, the timer has gone off, let’s go!!
I’ve made lists for Grandma on how to take care of our little J Myster when I am in the hospital, I’ve made my hospital bag list, which is halfway packed, I’ve made my project list of all the things I want to get done before baby comes. The car seat is in the car ready to go. The baby room is ready, the diaper bag is ready….etc. Did you make lists? Were you completely ready when baby came or did you have last-minute things you didn’t get wrapped up in enough time?
None of that probably mattered as soon as you held your little one for the first time huh? While I am excited and so done with pregnancy, I am still a bit nervous and scared.
