In the words of Alice Cooper, “School’s out for summer!” Hi Folks! My son just had his last day of school yesterday for first grade. I guess that officially makes him a second grader now…and officially a mom to two boys that will be around all the time for the next two and a half months. Summers used to be longer didn’t they? I’ll have to think of how I can entertain these kiddos this summer with all the stuff we have going on all the time. I’m sure there will be some pool time, park time and some BBQ’s, and that sounds great to me.
This weekend I get to attend my foster brother’s wedding in Phoenix and see Mel and Rich, (my foster parents). It will be so fun to get all the cousins together from all the foster/adopted kids of Mel and Rich. It will be quite the weekend. I’m totally excited!
If you had kids in school, were they excited or sad that the school year has come to an end, or do they still have a few more weeks? JJ was excited to get this little note from one of his teachers.
JJ also brought home a great report card. I’m so happy to see he improved on some things from 1st semester to 2nd semester. What are your plans for the summer? Anyone going anywhere fun?
