It’s September. When I try to figure out what month on the calendar  I like the most…I don’t know. September ranks up pretty high. It starts the “change” in the year. My son is back in school, the air is crisper. Scents of yummy baked goodness seep out the windows of store shops when you walk down the street. Pumpkin spiced lattes…..yes I said it. It’s a bad time of year for those who don’t like pumpkin. But awesome for everyone else!

Falling autumn leaves

I woke up this morning and my husband had his football TV set up by the side of the big TV so he could watch the red zone channel….and I decided to make biscuits and gravy.  Autumn….

While my grass is still green and the leaves are still on the trees and haven’t changed color yet, the air feels cooler. I feel the shift in the coming season and remember Autumn’s past.

  1. What I think is you named all of my very favorite things! I love the Fall season and I love wearing my boots, the smell of fireplaces starting up in the air, the leaves that start to fall and crunch under our feet and yes FOOTBALL!!
I love your photos by the way so colorful and I can’t believe you have so many leaves on the ground already! How cool!

  2. The leaves are still green here, too. But there was definitely a tiny chill in the air this past weekend. And of course, football was the most popular TV show(s) at my house this weekend.

  3. Oh I do love September, it’s my anniversary month too! However, as much as I love the fall, living in Miami, I don’t get to see or enjoy it. It fells like 100 degrees everyday still 🙁

  4. I can definitely feel a change in the air–it is a bit cooler, a bit breezier and the leaves are just starting to change-only a couple but Fall is in the air-my favorite time of year!

  5. I love the photo of the three of you! Beautiful. The fall is one of my favorite times as well for pretty much the same reasons as you. I haven’t tried a pumpkin spiced latte though, so will need to do that soon!

  6. You have beautiful family. I miss the boots wearing weather and the beautiful colors of autumn. I have missed pumpkin spiced latte oh so much. I wish our starbucks have them 🙂

  7. Luckily I do like pumpkin so it is a good time of year for me too. 🙂 September is rocking awesome because it’s my youngest son’s birthday month. 🙂

  8. Oh me too! I used to dread Fall since it was the gateway to some harsh winters here in the midwest, but this year I decided to embrace it. I love football, apples and Halloween, so why not embrace fall!

    1. Ha ha! Yeah sometimes embracing what’s difficult, makes it not so difficult. I never really liked the cold much, but then my blood thickened up a bit living here and I’m more used to it now. I lived in Phoenix for 15 years where there’s no real weather change.

  9. I don’t tolerate heat well, so September is my favorite month since it means that summer is over. Time to break out the hoodies and warm furry boots! PS Love September, hate pumpkin!

  10. There has been two days in the morning the weather felt cool. Now it’s has gotten better and feels hot. I live by the beach so it’s always get colder here. Nice picture of you and your kids. I really need to get out with my kids and enjoy the last bit of warm weather before it gets cold.

  11. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fall! I love going ot the Cider Mill, wearing sweaters and boots, drinking Cider and football, of course! It’s definitely one of my favorite times of the year (besides Christmas).

  12. October is my favorite month… but it only beats out September because it’s also the month I was born in. 😉 There’s nothing like the wonderful smells & foods of autumn. 🙂
