The Kids Are Back in School!

Yay! Our extra long summer has come to an end and the kids are finally back in school. They had the longest summer!! They have had 12 whole weeks off peeps! While we filled it up with lots of camping, swim lessons and movies, it was long yo! Districts around here usually get about 9 weeks off. But my kids go to a wonderful school and the community surrounding it is amazing. The reason for the extra long summer was because the school needed extra time to finish being built.

So of course I’m going to share some “first day of school” photos.

Here’s my Oldest:

And here’s my youngest who started school just a few days later:

Now that the kids are back in school, I can focus more on work. I had limited hours I was able to work this summer because there’s a limited number of ways you can entertain kiddos when you are sitting in front of a laptop all day. Anyway with school being back in session this may allow me to take on more clients! I’m looking for two more! In a few weeks I have a networking meetup where I just might be able to solve that problem. Time will tell.

Over labor day weekend we squeezed in a camping trip not far from home. We didn’t go anywhere far away. In fact this lake was just about ten minutes from our house. We stayed here in our RV for three days, ate way too much food and hung out by the lake. We met some really friendly campers next us and hung out by their campfire. We exchanged numbers to meet up again sometime, but something tells me it probably won’t happen. That’s just life right?

I am white!!! This girl needs some sun, but when she gets it, she burns!

JJ hanging out at the swim beach building mud castles.

This might be the last RV trip of the season. It’s kind of sad that summer is coming to an end, but there are better things to come and next summer surely holds more adventures.

What is one thing you’ll miss about this summer?
