The Speck CandyShell iPhone 5 Case!

I love changing out my iPhone 5 cases and found one that I think offers the best protection, is the most attractive but doesn’t take away from that thin iPhone 5 feel.

The Speck CandyShell Case for iPhone 5 provides the perfect protection and simplistic professional style. If you don’t want something that is too flashy for work purposes, yet is stylish and protective, the Speck CandyShell case is the one to choose.

It’s white and charcoal colored and blends right in with the white iPhone 5. Now I really don’t like the feel of rubberized cases, and they tend to be lint catchers, this case is a perfect polycarbonate outer shell, with a rubberized interior and lip around the edge of the case that provides your phone protection on the corners and the places it would most likely get dinged up.

The case enhances the volume buttons on the side and the power button on the top of the phone.

Nice rubberized interior protects phone from the inside out.

Last weekend I was glad I had this case on my phone. We were doing stuff in the front yard and I was trying to keep track of the kids and baby B went running toward the street, as I was darting after him, my phone slipped out of my pocket and fell on the concrete in the garage. When I went back to pick up my phone I was glad I had that case on because my phone would certainly have been damaged. Unfortunately, there is now a black scratch on the back of the case, but it’s not very noticeable.  What I can say is the case did exactly what it was supposed to do, protect my phone.

If I were to rate this case against other cases, it gets five stars for these reasons: The added protection doesn’t make the phone too bulky and it’s stylish.

Please note though, if you use your phone on a charging stand, this case will have to be taken off to be charged.

  1. This has been my absolute case…until the rubber around the front wears down. I have gone through three but keep on purchasing them!!

  2. I’m glad you like your case. I dropped my husband’s mac once on the kitchen (hard tile) floor. It was brand new and I was scaaaaaaaaared. Luckily, and highly unusually, it was perfectly fine. It could have used a case though, lol

    Happy weekend to you!
