I know I’m not the first person to talk about Ibotta and all its perks, but let me tell you why I’ve been loving this app lately! Yesterday I was paid to buy mayo!! Yep
I was so excited yesterday when I brought down a $110 grocery bill to $53.56 with store and manufacture coupons and doing the mix & match deals found in the grocery ad! I felt so accomplished with that shopping trip and it really gets me excited to use the app when I know I’ll get 25 cents back just for shopping at a particular store, or $1.00 back for buying fruit or milk. I don’t know why it took me so long to fully embrace Ibotta, but I’m all in now and just want to share that excitement with you.
So there was an offer for $4.50 to buy Heinz new mayo. Well, Safeway had it on sale for 3.49. So after I redeemed the offer from my receipt, I actually got paid to buy the mayo! That added $4.50 to my already earned cash back status and gave us a second restaurant gift card we redeemed to go to Applebees when we are in Wyoming/South Dakota. Let me tell you, eating with kids is more expensive these days because they are old enough to order their own meals now. They used to just eat off our plates, but not anymore. So $20 off dinner at Applebees will be wonderful when we travel this weekend!
Now I tried using the ibotta app a couple of years ago but never really got into it, but after redeeming three gift cards this year so far, one for Red Robin, one for Amazon and now one for Applebees, I’m all in! I enjoy saving money on things I’ll buy anyway, and earning gift cards to places I probably wouldn’t go to unless I had a coupon or a discounted meal. What can I say, I’m a cheapskate sometimes.
So whether you’ve heard of Ibotta before, or not at all, I just thought I’d share my invite code here for friends: pmkwrmc. Or you can click on this link to sign up: https://ibotta.com/r/pmkwrmc .You’ll end up helping me out when you join and I believe when you sign up, you get $5.00 toward a gift card when you join and start using the app.
I have not been paid to write this post, I simply thought I’d share my excitement, and hopefully get a few of you to sign up.
So what are you waiting for!?
