Well by now you’ve gotten through Christmas and all its fun/stress filled glory and you are probably thinking about 2015. What will it hold for you?
I am contemplating new goals for 2015, specifically with the blog. But I haven’t written anything down yet. On Christmas Eve, I rearranged my office to inspire more motivation and some creativity for the year to come and Christmas day was a fun filled blur.
When you have a three and five year old, its so exciting to see them open each gift. Before we knew it, the house was filled with torn wrapping paper and bows and we needed two garbage bags to clean it all up and then we ran into the predicament of what to do with all the kids new toys? So yesterday I rearrange the play room and we immediately started a Goodwill bag for the toys my kids rarely play with.
Some of the things I got for Christmas I can use for blogging! My husband aka Santa was really good to me this year! Heck he’s good to me every year, I can never complain.
He’s been better at embracing my blogging. He knows that it generates a little income for us and we’ve used that to get some amazing things for our house and its contributed to all the home projects we’ve been doing since we moved here a few years ago. I’m so happy he’s embraced it and he sees that this is “my work” my way of contributing to our family as a “work at home mom”, not just a “stay at home mom”.
So this year he got me somethings to help with my creativity and use of time.
I can’t wait to thumb through Lexi Lane’s Blogger’s Survival Guide book. If you don’t know who she is she’s the blogger behind voiceboks.com. I hope I can learn somethings, specifically for effective time management, because I tend to work too much on one project and let time get away from me.
I’m also stoked about the Nikon for dummies book! I can’t wait to find out new ways of shooting and use the new filters my husband got me!
Not only did he get me some awesome filters and zooms, he got me a remote shutter! I’m so excited about this because it means we can take our own family photos and I can be in them!
He also found a way to get me the new iphone 6 for free! I just have to trade in my old iPhone 5. I was so happy about this because I planned on saving up two months of blogging money to get this phone! 🙂 And look at the pretty gold glitter case he got me? He totally knows my style!
I also have tons of chocolate to go through in my stocking. Hunky Hubs knows I love Fererro Rocher, which really won’t help me much with my fitness goals, but hey you gotta live a little right?!
Next year, even though I haven’t written it down yet, I hope to continue going to the gym. I haven’t been in about two months. But hunky hubs gave me his old fitbit and I downloaded my fitness pal and I love how these two apps work together and I plan on loosing at least 5 pounds and toning up a lot of flab. Hopefully before the wedding I’m in come February.
How was your Christmas? What are you goals for the New Year?

I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t given an ounce of thought to 2015 yet. I am sure it will be great, thoughl
Hey enjoy 2014…its not gone yet!
Our Christmas was very nice. For 2015, me and my husband have been discussing financial goals and life goals.
Your Christmas sounds fantastic! So glad that Santa was good to you. I too love the fresh start that a New year brings. Wishing you the best in 2015!
My husband also got me some gifts to inspire me with my blogging!!! Great minds think alike, lol! We recently bought a new camera, so he bought a set of spotlights and a kit so I can take proper pictures when I’m not able to use natural light! I was actually thinking of buying a book for beginner photographers…it’s all a little overwhelming because there is SO much to learn!!!
Glad you all had a great Christmas 🙂
Your Christmas looks like it went great. Isn’t it fun to watch the little ones open their presents?? I love our phone case too!! Very pretty!
Thanks Caitlin! 🙂 Its a blast to see the excitement on their faces!
We had a wonderful Christmas. My goal is to be just a touch more organized this year.
That is my goal too! More organization can’t hurt at all! I need to start with some kitchen cupboards!
What incredible gifts! I love the fact that your husband is supportive of your blogging…it’s easier to go for gold when you’ve got people in your corner!
I had a great Christmas as well…I asked for clothes and got lots of it. 🙂
Nice! I love Clothes!! 🙂
Santa brought me blogging stuff and lots of chocolates too!! Glad to hear you had a blessed Christmas!
Thanks Erica! Blogging stuff is awesome!!
I’m going to write my goals down this week actually! One of them is in the process of being fulfilled already — I’m rebranding. 🙂
We had a great Christmas. The kids had the best Christmas ever.
Happy New Year Melissa! 🙂
Sounds like you got some amazing gifts! I will be looking at Cameras this week for my late Christmas present. So excited!
Excited!! Will it be a DSLR?! Good luck in narrowing down your selections. It can be daunting I’m sure.
Enjoy your Nikon! I have a book but found the best way to get to know my camera was to just take it out and shoot with it.
I do the same thing Val…I just take it out and mess around with it. I might have to take some pictures of our snowy landscape after this blizzard has come and gone!
What great gifts! I am dying for the new iPhone 6, too!
The iPhone 6 is great. I chose to get it instead of the iPhone 6 plus because I have an iPad mini, and I really don’t need something phone wise for the same size. My husband also realized I needed the 64gig one with all the pictures I take! Hope you get yours soon!
I would love to have the blogging book. It looks like it has a lot of great info in it.
Yeah, I’ve read the epilogue so far! I can’t wait to dive into it!
Those books look great! You are off to a fantastic start. I started a new blog for 2015!
Thanks Kimberly! What’s your new blog? I will stop by and show some love!
2015 is going to be a great year! I love the Dummies series and the Blogger’s Survival guide is great!
Love that phone case! How pretty is that?!?
I know and my husband picked it which is pretty remarkable! 😉
Sounds like you all had a great Christmas! That’s so sweet that he managed to get you things you wanted and/or needed.
Thats so great your husband has gotten better about embracing your blogging! My husband is quite involved as well- at times, maybe even too much! Happy New Year!
He thought for several years that it was an obsessive hobby until he realized some of the money coming in from it. 🙂 Now he’s all for it. 🙂
I have so much planned for 2015. I usually don’t plan but in May my daughter is dancing in downtown Disney and I’ve been planning around it.
Oh how exciting for your Daughter! What a great experience for her!
looks like everyone had a great Christmas. I love the case on that phone. it looks really cool.
We had a great Christmas. Lot’s of family and lots of food means lots of fun!
I love that glitter case! Now I’m missing my iPhone! Heheh. Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas. I hope 2015 is great to you and your family!
Awwwww what a great Christmas y’all had!!! I’m loving your gold case BTW…. Wayyy too cute!!!
Thanks! I love it too!
Oh that blog book looks like something I could use! My husband got me a new laptop and camera for blogging. A Nikon camera just like you – different model!
Oh nice! Happy New Year!!
i have been spending a lot of time this week reviewing 2014 and looking to set goals and priorities for 2015. it is a great time between christmas and new years. happy everything to you too.
Thanks Mariam! Happy New Year!
2015 will probably be much like 2014 for me–the only difference being that I will be turning 65-OUCH-when did that happen-I still think like a 40 year old!!
Ha ha Michele! I still think like I’m 25 sometimes and I’m 33. Age is only a number right? Happy 2015 Michele!
That is SO great that your husband is so supportive of your blogging, honestly, my sweet husband doesn’t even know what goes on in mine. 🙂
Mine didn’t for a long time either, and I really only post the personal blog stuff on my personal facebook page, but he knows I work a ton on it.
Our Christmas was wonderful! As for 2015, the only big plans I have are a blog conference and I want to take a family trip!
I want to go on a Blog Conference too! Hoping one is arranged in the Phoenix area!
You got me at Camera and Glitter. I am currently obsessed with everything that is glittery and sparkles 🙂 Happy New Year
Ha ha! Happy New Year Nicole! 🙂
That glitter case looks fabulous! Your hubby did a great job picking it out! Happy New Year!
Yes he did! Happy New Year Missy!
You really got a lot this Christmas from bloggers survival guide, a nikon guidebook and an iphone 6. I’m sure that would excite you to blog more in 2015. It’s also great to see that the kids had fun with their gifts.
Yeah Franc, I’ve had a blessed year for sure! Hoping 2015 is good to you Franc!
Our boys are 6 and 3, and this was the first Christmas where they BOTH were able to be super excited about Christmas and opening gifts. It’s so fun to have Christmas with kids! Good luck with your goals for 2015!
I agree it makes it so much more magical doesn’t it!? I need to get blogging about it already! Happy 2015!
Sounds like you were super spoiled! What a great hubby!
Oh yes! I have an amazing husband. Wish he knew how amazing he is sometimes. 🙂
Santa hubby sounds like a nice one, i love ferrero rocher chocolates too i was so obsessed with them at one point that i went eating at least a few a day but they are so darn expensive lol. Happy new year
They are! I still have some in my stocking. I just nibble on one each day…its my little treat to myself. 😉
This sounds like such a wonderful year! I love reading everyone’s 2014 posts because everyone had such a different, unique year. I love the photos on yours, definitely very memorable 🙂 Happy New Years!!
Thanks Michelle! Happy New Year to You!
Sounds like you had a great Christmas! Your phone case is so pretty 🙂 2015 is my year for living life to the full!
Our Christmas was sad – our husky crossed the rainbow bridge and we all got sick! I’m hoping for a better 2015 🙂
I’m so sorry Sara. 🙁 I hope your 2015 is better. Our furry friends are part of the family.
love the glitter case
Looks like Santa was good to you, and you are all set for a great year of blogging in 2015!
Thanks Kathleen! 🙂
It is awesome your husband is so supportive indeed. You got some really great stuff from aka Santa this year. I so miss watching my kids open gifts when they were little. I will have to wait for the grand kids to come is all which shouldn’t happen for a couple more years. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Rebecca! Happy New Year to You!
YAY!!! Merry Christmas!!! My husband bought me the iPhone 6 Plus and told me that the gift wrapped was actually from his work and I believed lol! Have a wonderful new year!
